According to the latest quarterly results, Apple continues to follow the path of success. The Cupertino-based firm submitted reports for second financial period 2022 (according to the company calendar) corresponding to the months of January, February and March.
Traditionally, it is one of the least profitable Californian companies. There are several reasons: the peak of Christmas shopping has just passed, there are no recently introduced goods on the shelves, and along with the latter, the expectation of the next launches is growing.
It doesn’t look like 2022 will be the exception to the rule. However, like last year, Apple broke all revenue records in the second quarter. Or, in other words, this is the best second quarter in its history with $97.3 billion in revenue.
Apple Q2 2022 results: big news
“This quarter’s record results are a testament to Apple’s relentless focus on innovation and our ability to create the world’s best products and services,” he said. Tim Cook, CEO of the company, in a statement. “We are excited to see strong customer response to our new products.”
A few words, which are not surprising, considering that they are third best quarter in company history. In terms of revenue, it was surpassed only by the precedent (Q1 2022 and Q1 2021). So not bad for a period when little has happened in terms of new products and when production chains are still not working at the highest level.
The above total is distributed as follows across the various product categories in which the firm operates:
- iphone: $50.6 billion.
- PoppyA: $10.4 billion.
- ipadA: $7,600 million.
- wearable devicesA: $8,800 million.
- ServicesA: $19,800 million.
All of these divisions are growing year-over-year, with the exception of the iPad (due to supply issues).
Mac and services on the crest of a wave
The Mac and Services categories saw the highest year-over-year revenue growth this quarter (15% and 17%, respectively). Something that does nothing but celebrate Apple’s work and investment in these areas.
On the one hand, an ever-improving computer offering with proprietary M1 family chips that power cool new machines and attract new customers. Actually, nearly half of new Mac buyers this quarter are first-time buyers – that is, that he had not previously had an Apple computer–.
Article under development.
