The new test leaked on Geekbench 5 shows that we are dealing with a very advanced chip, actually slightly more than the M2 does compared to the M1. The single core score is incredible, plus it gives a very noticeable improvement in the multi-core score.

This new test comes from a device identified as “Mac14.6”, a previously nonexistent Mac model. Defined as CPU Apple M2 Max with 12 cores at 3.68 GHz and 96 GB of RAM. These are the results:

• New M2 Max test: 2027 single-core and 14888 multi-core.
• Previous M2 Max test: 1853 single-core and 13855 multi-core.
• M1 Max Test: 1755 single-core and 12333 multi-core.
