Yandex Travel analysts have selected alternative holiday options for those who want to relax by the sea at the end of August and are not going to spend a lot on this goal. They told RB.RU about it. The list of countries that Russians can travel to inexpensively includes Abkhazia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus and Egypt. The rating is based on holiday dates from August 26 to September 1.

For example, Abkhazia. To get there from Moscow, you should choose the route via Sochi. A direct flight from Moscow to Sochi and back (26.08-01.09) will cost more than 41 thousand rubles. The bus ride from Sochi to Gagra takes an hour and a half, the price of round-trip tickets for two people is 6.3 thousand rubles. The cost of living in a double room in a three-star hotel in Gagra (26.08-01.09) will be 31.8 thousand rubles.

Another option is Lake Sevan, Armenia. A flight to Yerevan and back will cost 58 thousand rubles for two. You can drive from the capital of Armenia to Sevan in about an hour, and tickets will cost about 4 thousand for two. Accommodation on these dates will cost from 53.7 thousand rubles for two people.

Holidays in the capital of Azerbaijan will not be very expensive either. A flight for two people to Baku and back costs about 78 thousand rubles, accommodation costs just over 26 thousand rubles.

Also included in the list of budget holiday options are Larnaca (Cyprus) and Hurghada (Egypt).

RB.RU recently reported that tourists spent 1.8 trillion rubles in Russia annually. The main recipients of the funds were hotels, restaurants, cafes and entertainment venues.
