Apple completely redesigned the iPad Pro in 2018 with a bezel-less design, Face ID, 120Hz ProMotion display, and multiple home connectors. Mark Gurman, via the Power On newsletter, said that Apple is happy with the current iPad lineup and mentioned the following:

I don’t see any major updates for entry-level models, iPad mini or Air in 2023. The iPad Pro is definitely not going to get anything substantial this year. Instead, look for a big iPad Pro refresh next spring, complete with an updated design and OLED displays for the first time.
