On the evening of Saturday, June 8, users began to complain en masse about a sudden outage in Telegram: it became impossible to send and receive messages and do anything else in Messenger. The malfunction lasted for an hour and a half.

According to Kuskov, there is no mention of a targeted cyber attack. Rather, it is a matter of disrupting the functioning of the data processing centers (DPCs) where the messenger processes the information. So these are internal problems of Telegram.

“The application was sitting there for over an hour. Considering that you were able to get this case back pretty quickly, this is still due to issues with Telegram. “Maybe something may have happened in the data centers where the information was stored,” the expert said.
