Amazfit this week launched a smartwatch option that takes up less space on the wrist. The GTR Mini is 42mm in diameter and arrived in the US with a suggested price of $120, but can also be found in Europe for 130 Euros. In addition to its small size, Amazfit highlights the device’s battery saving, promising up to 14 days of autonomy.

That’s two weeks for what the manufacturer calls “typical use.” With more heavy use, the estimate drops to 7 days and only 25 hours with continuous GPS. The manufacturer also points out that it is possible to get up to 20 days in battery saver mode and up to a month in clock-only mode. The capacity of the battery is 280 mAh.

The GTR Mini has a 1.28” AMOLED display, which results in a density of 326 ppi. It is 9.25 mm thick and weighs 24.6 g. By comparison, these numbers jump to 12.4mm and 34g on the standard model.

Less size, almost same features

Despite its size, the mini model does not compromise on many features. The smartwatch features over 120 sports to watch and promises to be waterproof to 5 ATM (50m).

In the healthcare field, we have sensors that have become standard in these devices, such as continuous monitoring of heart rate and SpO2 detection of oxygen in the blood. The GTR Mini also comes with sleep monitoring functions.

The standard sensors in the smartwatch have been reduced.

Just like the Amazfit GTR 4, the smaller model uses the ZeppOS 2.0 system to manage its apps. The smartwatch retails for Rs 11,000 in the US and Europe, as well as in India.

Its launch in Brazil has not been confirmed so far, but it is possible to find other Amazfit watches in the country. With this in mind, the product has a chance to reach the country in the future.
