Redskull YouTube channel expert Alex found out which of the three flagships is better in terms of camera: Samsung S23, iPhone 14 Pro or Xiaomi 13.

First of all, the presenter compared smartphones in terms of their video capture capabilities. The devices were compared in the main, wide-angle camera and selfie camera. All three devices can record 4K 30fps video on the main camera. In addition, smartphones can shoot 4K 60 fps and Samsung – even 8K 30 fps, Xiaomi – 8K 24 fps video. In terms of daytime stabilization, all models perform well.

If we talk about recording video on the front camera, Xiaomi 13 can only shoot 1080p 30fps, while other smartphones can shoot 4K 30fps. They work fine on all three devices.

You can shoot ultra-wide at 4K 30fps on all smartphones. But they (except Xiaomi) can record 4K 60 fps video with this lens.

In low light, all three devices can record 4K 30fps video.

In terms of video capture, Xiaomi turns out worse than others. Only because it does not support 4K 30fps recording on the front camera. Otherwise, the videos on all smartphones are similar. But if the presenter had to choose a device for video capture, he’d get the iPhone 14 Pro.

Daytime photos on the main camera are almost the same on all smartphones. Pictures differ from each other mainly only in color reproduction. In general, the specialist prefers photos taken with the S23. In them, the dynamic range is better, and the pictures themselves are clearer. It also proved to be the iPhone that was worse than the others.

If we evaluate portrait photos, Samsung often makes mistakes when cropping objects. In this scenario, it is inferior to iPhone 14 Pro and Xiaomi 13 in terms of quality. In terms of color reproduction, the iPhone wins here: its colors are more natural.

At 5x magnification, Xiaomi and Samsung perform slightly better than the iPhone. Also, photos on iPhone 14 Pro come out yellowish.

The ultra-wide lens is better on the iPhone 14 Pro compared to other smartphones. Although some of the photos on Xiaomi turned out to be pretty good as well.

At night, the iPhone 14 Pro takes much better photos with the main camera than the other two flagships.

The same is true when shooting ultra-wide at night and in the evening. In this scenario, the iPhone wins again. Galaxy S23 is in second place and Xiaomi 13 is in third place.

For daytime selfies, Samsung and iPhone are more suitable. The iPhone 14 Pro does the job even better. You can see sample images below.
