A new story shared by MacRumors highlights a leak known as: @UReditor On Twitter, Apple is considering developing an iPhone 15 with a Lightning port, but ultimately idea shelved.
Apple replaced the Lightning port with a USB-C port, but with a minor catch
All rumors converge that all iPhone 15 models will have a USB-C port, but Apple has managed to evade the European Commission’s imposition.
Seems like, The iPhone 15’s USB-C port will be based on the internal system of the USB Lightning port.. Therefore, the iPhone 15’s USB-C port will be limited to the use of accessories. MFi (Made for iPhone) Apple official and other accessories from authorized brands.
Regardless, it’s still intriguing that Apple has the idea of releasing an iPhone 15 with a Lightning port in mind. Perhaps they had planned to introduce this version to the United States market. and/or other regions not affected by the European Commission decision.
Some details about USB-C on iPhone 15:
It was in testing until January 2022, and since March 2022 almost all designs have had a USB-C port instead of lightning.

Apple used USB-C ports on Mac and iPad products from 2015 and 2018, respectively. However, they never added a USB-C port to an iPhone. The iPhone 15 will be the first iPhone in history to have a USB-C port. The company with the bitten apple logo had to do this because European regulations required it. a common charger for all electronic devices. Something that will undoubtedly benefit all consumers.
