Earlier this week, Gigabyte and Maingear announced Project Stealth, a kit that includes a motherboard and a graphics card with power plugs hidden. MSI also seems to be working on a motherboard that emphasizes cable management.
For example, Twitterer Chi11eddog shared some photos of Project Zero, an MSI motherboard that appears to be based on the Meg Unify series. These images show Intel’s lga1700 socket, which suggests it’s a Z690 motherboard just like Gigabyte. Wires should be nearly invisible thanks to the bottom-mount connectors, but you’ll need a compatible enclosure to be able to connect everything.
It is unclear whether MSI has plans for other products or is collaborating with other manufacturers. In any case, it is no coincidence that similar designs from different companies appear in a matter of days.
