According to an already deleted web store page by Naver, Microsoft may soon come with a new compact Surface Laptop Go 2. The main improvement is in the CPU; Microsoft would switch to the Intel 11th Gen Core i5. According to previous reports, the laptop will have a starting price of around 600 Euros excluding VAT.
According to the webshop, the Microsoft Laptop Go 2 will be available for pre-order on June 2, so if the page has not been brought online due to human error, an announcement should be made soon. In addition to the introduction of the Core i5-1135G7 (previously powering the Surface Laptop 4 series), the tiny laptop would run on Windows 11 by default and get an enhanced webcam.
Other specs seem to stay the same when compared to the original Surface Laptop Go in 2020. That’s the same 12.4-inch display, USB-a and -c connections, a fingerprint scanner on the power button, and a maximum of 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Meanwhile, a model with half that amount of ram and storage was also launched in 2020. It’s unclear whether this also applies to the Surface Laptop Go 2.
