Corsair has equipped its Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5 memory modules with a faster model. Where existing kits reach speeds of up to 6,400 MT/s, the new kit should be able to reach 6,600 MT/s. Additionally, the delays are also tighter than their younger siblings.
For example, the manufacturer claims CL32-39-39-76 timings compared to 38-40-40-84 on 6,400MT/s modules. To achieve these speeds, the voltage was increased from 1.35 V to 1.4 V. Like other Dominator Platinum products, the memory kits are double the 16GB, 32GB total. A typical aluminum heat spreader with twelve adjustable Capellix LEDs is also available.
Anyone looking to get started with these modules will have to dig deep in their pockets: Corsair’s webshop reports a suggested retail price of 495 euros. Compared to the previously announced G.Skill modules, these are available, but not at the time of writing DDR5 memory with comparable speeds in the product comparison.
