Ikea will present a new wall mount with shelf for Symfonisk WiFi speaker in mid-June. The rack has wireless charging functionality for Qi-enabled smartphones and other devices. The Symfonisk speaker is supplied with a plug, thanks to the integrated power cord. On the side is a USB type-c port that can be used to charge other devices with a maximum of 18 watts.
The Symfonisk Gen 2 speaker was developed in collaboration with Sonos and was first released in the Netherlands before being distributed worldwide. The speaker works with the Ikea Home Smart ecosystem and can be controlled via Ikea or Sonos apps. Symfonisk supports Apple AirPlay 2 and works with Spotify Connect.
The Symfonisk can be mounted horizontally on the wall to act as a shelf. The speaker can also be placed separately on a desk or shelf, horizontally or vertically. Two speakers can be used for a stereo setup, and the speaker can be paired with other Sonos speakers.
The Ikea Symfonisk wall mount with shelf and wireless charging function will be available in mid-June for 39.99 euros in black and white.
