Lenovo’s new ThinkSmart One is an “all-in-one soundbar” designed primarily for hybrid video conferencing. The device combines a compact desktop computer with stereo speakers, an FHD webcam and various integrated microphones. The manufacturer initially focused on interacting with televisions that do not run programs like Microsoft Teams or Zoom without a connected PC.
The beating heart of ThinkSmart One is Intel Core i5-1145G7E processor with vPro support, also 8GB ddr4 ram and 256GB ssd are provided. Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is preinstalled. Two televisions or monitors can be connected via HDMI 2.0, but a third HDMI port is optionally available. We also find four USB ports (two of them type-c) and two gigabit Ethernet, connection is also possible via WiFi 6. Power is supplied via USB type-c or Ethernet (PoE).
Full HD camera and eight microphones should cover a wide angle; the volume can be controlled, for example, via the 10.1 inch LC touch screen (1280 × 800 pixels). The ThinkSmart One will ship from November, but Lenovo has yet to provide information on its suggested retail price.
