Samsung has started mass production of the first OLED panel with a 240 Hz refresh rate. The new panel will appear for the first time on MSI’s 15.6-inch gaming laptop, the Raider GE67 HX.

It’s not the first time we’ve heard of an OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate. Back in May, we reported on an upcoming Razer laptop with a 240Hz OLED display. The gaming laptop will hit the market this year. It’s not clear if it’s related to the new Samsung panel.

As mentioned, the MSI Raider GE67 HX uses the new panel. The stated response time of the quad HD display (2560×1440) is 0.2ms and the display is DisplayHDR 600 True Black certified. The laptop can be configured up to an Intel Core i9 12900HX processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU. It weighs 2.4kg and has a suggested retail price starting at $2499. It is not yet clear when the laptop will appear in the Benelux.
