European Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) launched a new one food warningthis time regarding some cereal bars which could contain metal particles inside.
Spanish health authorities received the first notification from their colleagues in Netherlands after they detected metal particles during routine inspection. Later this call was joined German authorities.
The cereal bars in question come from Canadabut there is evidence that they are sold at least two Spanish autonomous communities. Maybe more. This is why AESAN declared a food alert through System for Coordinated Rapid Interchange of Information (SCIRI)it is therefore expected that all affected lots have already been withdrawn from supermarkets.
Cereal bars covered by this food warning
In this case, the food anxiety is related to the presence of metal particles in the Canadian brand’s cereal bars. Done well. They are known to be sold in Valencia and Balearic Islandsbut it is possible that they reached other areas of Spain.

What should we do?
If we had bought cereal bars before the food warning was issued and we had them at home, we should refrain from consuming them. If we’ve already done this, don’t panic. It is not certain that all ingots contain these metal particles. Moreover, they could not cause any damage. Certain information, such as the size or origin of the particles, has not been made public, so it is impossible to accurately determine the level of severity.
In any case, if you feel any digestive symptomthis consumption should be discussed with your doctor. If you have any questions, we can also ask our healthcare provider. But in any case, it is unlikely that they were eaten, and if they were, something serious would happen. But even in this case, logically, extreme caution should be exercised and not taken orally.
