Everything about helmets is written and invented … or so we thought. The AGV brand has created a new, more affordable helmet designed for long rides, with the option to add a communication box so you can communicate with other riders.
While the first model released by the company (Sportmodular) was very light at just 1295g, The Tourmodular weighs 1620g on average thanks to its carbon, Kevlar and fiberglass construction. (sporty is that you choose only carbon). The world of helmets is incredible.
And while your head may weigh a little more when it’s standing than its lean older brother, AGV designed it to have zero dynamic weight when driving on the road at 130 km/h. only thanks to aerodynamics.
We hope that this effect does not change when accelerating, since a situation may arise that if we run a lot, the body is pulled up. and wounded us in the neck.
AGW says that tested this helmet to P/J homologation standards even with the chin guard up.. Something very important, because few motorcyclists ride ahead when they arrive in the city.
The Tourmodular is also the first helmet to be equipped with the “AGV Insyde” integrated Bluetooth communication system, specially developed in cooperation with the Cardo brand, well known in the motorcycle world.
This means it will have many of the same capabilities as Cardo Packtalk devices, including self-healing dynamic mesh intercom connections between up to 15 pilots up to 6km away.
While Sportmodular starts at $749, the new Tourmodular is significantly more affordable at $599.until you add $329 for the intercom. If you are a biker, you will definitely want to try this new and original helmet.
