Phone cameras are getting better and better every year. It’s gotten to the point where some DSLR manufacturers have largely phased them out, influenced by mobile and mirrorless cameras.

Major manufacturers are constantly demonstrating new camera innovations, whether it be the image sensor itself or dedicated ISP silicon.

Of these companies, Samsung is perhaps worst known for flooding the market with sensors that span a wide range of specs and prices.how it also has some of the biggest and most ambitious sensors known on the market and they are going to follow this trend.

In fact, Samsung may be well on its way to releasing its biggest image sensor to date: sensor with a whopping 450MP.

200MP cameras are the latest and greatest these days, with Samsung and Sony vying for the crown.

For now, Sony leads the numbers with its 1-inch, 200-megapixel IMX989 camera sensor, while the Samsung ISOCELL HP1 and HP3 models are smaller and have the same number of pixels.

In the near future, Samsung may release a sensor with a resolution of 450 megapixels.which isn’t all that surprising given the speed of innovation and the company’s tenacity.

Opportunity has been revealed GalaxyClub, referring to Samsung’s trademark registration of Hexa²pixel. Of course, the brand doesn’t say what it’s for, and this is where some theories come into play.

Samsung already uses the Tetra²pixel trademark to refer to its 4×4 pixel binning technology. used in the 200 megapixel ISOCELL HP1 camera to create a 12.5 megapixel image.

Then Hexa²pixel would mean that it is able to combine 6×6 or 32 pixels in one block.which could mean the sensor would need 400 million pixels to produce the same image at 12.5 megapixels.

It could be up to 450 megapixels if 3×3 pixels could be used to create a 50 megapixel image., as in the 2×2 ISOCELL HP1 configuration. Of course, these are theoretical maximum figures, not to mention speculation based simply on the brand name.

Naturally, such a sensor would cost much more and would also take up more space inside. Hopefully, by the time it arrives, component prices and sizes have dropped. which makes this 450 megapixel sensor equivalent to today’s 200 megapixel camera.
