Starbucks has foreseen that its NFTs will not be mere objects collectibles virtual. In fact, each NFT will be associated with specific benefits and advantages. At this point, the company has not expected many other details about the initiative.

For example, we don’t even know which network NFTs will be issued on. “We believe that digital collectibles can add value to our business,” explains a spokesperson. “We will announce further details in the course of 2022”. The project will be led by Adam Brotman, Starbucks manager who has already launched the platform to pay and place orders using the smartphone.

Currently there is already a loyalty program of the chain: it is called Starbucks Rewards and allows customers to collect Stars Points, which can then be exchanged for free drinks and other rewards. Starbucks CEO added that thanks to its integration with NFTs, the company hopes to reach the very young audience: “we don’t want to be a company with a gradually aging clientele that may not be relevant among young people”.
