Genetic Atlas: A Tool in the Study of Disease

It is an international collaboration of the London Institute of Medical Sciences of the Medical Research Council (MRc). Participants 27 labs and more than 50 researchers. The zebrafish lends itself well to its task because its embryos are transparent and have special regenerative properties. The new genetic atlas has DNA sequences related to different stages of the evolution of these animals. Still, according to the study’s signatories, this makes the goal of a catalog of whole DNA superimposed on that of humans even more accessible. Everything for facilitating new and further medicines more effective treatments.

This large study brings all the data together in a single framework, enabling researchers around the world to address problems that individual studies cannot address.
