We cultivate social farming: Confagricoltura Prize

The seventh edition of “We cultivate social farming”price conceived by Confagricoltura and Senior The age of Wisdom Onlus and Reale Foundation. In collaboration with the Social Farms Network and the University of Rome Tor Vergata. An award aimed at improving agriculture through the concept of green prosperity to support, rehabilitate and socially reintegrate the most vulnerable people.

There are two major innovations. One is the abolition of online voting for greater transparency. Then the prizes of 40 thousand euros including three scholarships for the Master of Social Agriculture at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. In addition, there is also a special price. A special award in 2022 for the management and refurbishment of public parks. Non-agricultural social cooperatives will also be able to participate. The winner will win 20 thousand euros.

With this seventh edition, together with our partners, we will achieve a total of 20 award-winning projects, all fully operational and evenly distributed across the national territory. It is the best demonstration of how this activity, which translates into a strong tool of integration and inclusion, has taken root and become a Made in Italy excellence. This type of agriculture is now well established in the area with more than 3,500 companies in the sector successfully engaged in it, employing 38 thousand people and generating a turnover of 300 million.
