Google has announced that it is experimenting with a new side menu. For now it is a test, which should already be available for a limited number of users android randomly selected. Instead of the Explore button, a new button now appears that opens a side menu. It is also possible to open the new menu by making a simple side swipe.
The side menu is available exclusively on the Android app and in the testing phase. The novelty should only be visible to a limited number of randomly selected users.
The menu allows you to access some areas of the site, including the Trends, the Music, Cinema, Live, Gaming and Sports section. Google has released an official image that will allow us to get an idea of the novelty.
It is not clear whether Google plans to bring the new menu within the application for iOS as well. As already explained, this is a test. If Google decides to officially introduce the new interface, there is a good chance that it will also be introduced on the iPhone app and perhaps also on the desktop version of the platform.
