Streaming seems to be the gold mine of recent years, and thousands of companies are betting on building this type of platform. There are a lot of companies behind broadcasting content on demand nowadays, unfortunately things have become too diversified in recent years.

Throughout this streaming boom, we have seen the birth of platforms like Facebook Gaming, built to compete with Twitch. and that it seems his days are numbered. Today it became known that the application for Android and iOS mobile phones will be closed in October.

As Facebook itself says in a statement compiled by Digital Trends, the closure of the app does not mean the platform is in danger. While this may leave a significant portion of users with a clear conscience, strange that the app is not supported if the platform is still active.

Facebook’s plans may be to have all users who consume this type of streaming content become part of the overall Facebook app. and cease to be separated by the barrier which they themselves have put up. But at the same time, this is a strange movement for any user to understand.

Also, Facebook Gaming has not been one of the most popular activities carried out by the social network.. In fact, this platform, designed to promote Facebook-signed streamers, has not had a reception that could be considered mainstream, which is why it has always been below Twitch and even YouTube Gaming giant Mountain View.

It looks like Facebook’s patience with this section has run out and it has now started focusing on offering virtual worlds like its metaverse., in addition to focusing on experiences and applications designed to be enjoyed using virtual reality. In fact, it seems that this content is his plan for the future.

We’ll have to wait to see if this Facebook move affects people who continue to bet on the platform.these are both users who consume content and creators who are constantly streaming and base their income on users’ monthly subscriptions.
