The leaked images shared by WinFuture indicate that GoPro prepares a smaller surprise that looks like a modern iteration of actions cam Session now out of production. The device, presumably called Hero 11 Black Miniit would follow GoPro’s goals to expand its camera range.
It has a large camera sensor on the front, a single button for Bluetooth connectivity and foldable “fingers” on the bottom for mounting. As the name suggests, the Mini looks like this reduced version of the upcoming Hero 11 Blackit just doesn’t come with a display on the front or back of the device.
Notably, GoPro’s Session line of cameras, the last of which was released in 2016, had no display and a more compact design, but this is where the similarities between Session and the so-called Hero Mini seem to end. While the Mini inherits the Hero 11 Black camera design from which it takes its name, the Session is a small cube with a camera that occupies the entire front of the device and bore no resemblance to other Hero devices of the time.
GoPro eventually withdrew the Session from its lineup when it introduced its Hero 7 cameras in 2018.
