According to Adobe’s 2022 Emoji Trends Report, to find The most popular emoji in the United States, Adobe surveyed 5,000 users, the majority of which coincided with five favorite emojis. Find out if you have the same tastes.

The five most loved emojis in the United States include: face with tears of joy, thumbs up, red heart, smiling face rolling on the floor and crying face. The top three on this list have been popular in recent years, but the smiling face rolling on the floor has replaced the kissing face.

Also, work included least favorite emojis to the respondents. In this list, poop pile, angry face and blushing face are the main ones.

Another interesting category is most misunderstood emojis. According to the report, most people give a different meaning to the yellow expression with the brown leather cowboy hat, cherry duo, and reverse side.

Adobe surveyed 5,000 emoji users to find the most popular emojis in the United States. They also shared reasons to use them every day:

  • 91% of respondents said they use emoji to “lighten the mood of conversation”.
  • 73% said people who use emoji are “friendly, funnier and cooler” than those who don’t.
  • 50% of respondents said they were more likely to respond to a message if it contained emoji.
  • 75% of them send at least 50 emojis in their online messages every day.}

To go to the details of the report, Adobe introduced computer scientist Kamile Demir and Adobe’s representative on the Unicode Emoji Subcommittee, who shared his thoughts on this year’s findings.

Emojis provide people with the resources they need to express themselves and show their emotions, whether on social networks or messaging apps. They allow people to communicate more than words on a screen and connect more deeply with others.
