Polaroid camera on their toes in the world of music, and doing so with an ambitious, colorful and multifaceted project. For starters, there’s a new line of speakers. There are four in total – with different prices and specifications – and they reflect the style of the company’s instant cameras: lots of colors and square and a little retro shapes.
Then there is Polaroid radio, an experimental web radio with five completely free and ad-free stations. The playlist is composed by various DJs and editors. There is also an application, Polaroid music, which is already available for download in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. In addition to the web radio, it also includes some features to discover new songs and artists.
In short, an all-round project that clearly serves to open the doors to the new collection of speakers in style.

The Polaroid P1 is the smallest of the new Bluetooth speaker family
The four Bluetooth speakers focus on a colorful and retro design
The most compact and portable is called Polaroid P1: remember, at least a little, the brand’s instant cameras; like all other Polaroid speakers, it works thanks to Bluetooth – and thus linked to a smartphone – and also has a carabiner to attach it to the backpack. The battery is 2,000 mAh, charges with a USB-C input and should offer up to 10 hours of battery life. It’s the only one of these speakers to have IPX5 certification, making it splash proof (but don’t try to submerge it). It costs 59 € and you can buy a bundle with two P1s.
Let’s go in size. The Polaroid P2 reminiscent of the portable stereos of yesteryear and mate 22 centimeters in the width. Compact enough to place on a bookcase. We find a round LED display and the audio quality is clearly also a step forward: 47mm drivers, two 60mm passive speakers for bass and 2×10 watt amplification. It costs 129 euros.
The Polaroid P3 it takes practically the same formula as the P2, but by increasing the size and amplifying the sound quality: 30 cm instead of the 20 cm of the P2, we also find a 5 watt tweeter, two 2.5-inch mid-woffers and again some drivers passive, but this time from 74 mm. The battery is 4000 mAh and the indicated autonomy reaches 15 hours on charging. Price? 189 euros.
We’ll come then Polaroid P4, the largest and which – in theory – is dedicated to audiophiles who want something more. In that regard, we find 100 mm woofers, two extra 1″ speakers and a 16 cm passive driver. The woofers are 40 watts, while the tweeters are 2 x 10 watts. It goes up to 289 euros.
All four have a large red button, like those on cameras, plus an analog watch face designed to change the Polaroid radio stations mentioned above. Another button allows you to save your favorite songs to find them in a special section of the Polaroid Music app.
