Having a dog is a privilege, but it has now also become a responsibility. We have to take care of the animal, raise it, take it to the vet for a check-up and take care of its needs. However, not everyone succeeds at first glance, which is why our country has introduced a defined document permit for dogs.

This is a certificate that is awarded to every dog owner who has a training course. Ultimately, he must pass a test with a positive result. The certificate is issued by the municipalities to the veterinary service of the local GGD. Those taking the course want to get to know their dog better.

A 10-hour course about the human-dog relationship, its behavior and animal welfare rules. Then comes the advanced path for owners or keepers of dogs reported by the ASL as “at high risk to public safety.” Dogs of this type are dogs that have been reported to the veterinary services of the ASL after biting or aggression.

The veterinary services will have to activate a path aimed at determining the psychological and physical condition of the animal. Keep an up-to-date register of dogs identified as animals in danger, as indicated above. The marked dogs will be able to run in public places, but always on a leash and with a muzzle. However, it is not mandatory to have the permit with you. If there is a check, the dog owner willself-certification. If the person does not have it, the arrest will take place for up to three months or the fine of up to 206 euros imposed by the Criminal Code will be applied.
