The series is based on Hugh Howey’s novels and explores the complex dilemma of the future on Earth!
Apple TV+ has been risky in gaining followers with of different types and formats. Silo is the dystopian series that Apple plans to release on May 5 this year. It is based on Hugh Howey’s novels and explores the complex dilemma regarding the future of Earth.
Apple a dystopian future in its next series
Apple shared the first trailer as we shared below to give you an idea of how complex and challenging the project, which stars Rebecca Ferguson, Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, David Oyelowo, Rashida Jones and Tim Robbins, is.
Silo tells the story of the last 10,000 people left on Earth, who live deep within the titular silo to avoid the toxic world above. No one knows for sure why or who built the bunker, and the tension between this mystery and the blatant horrors of the outside world is the catalyst for what appears to be a feud between the bunker’s lower castes and their leaders.
The dystopian future is fixed among the programs in the catalog. With the service launching in 2019, Apple launched the See series, set in a post-apocalyptic future where all people who survived a strange virus lost their sight. The series, starring Jason Momoa, made its finale after three seasons.
In March of this year, the stakes continued with the premiere of the series ‘Extrapolations’, which will tell the story of a natural disaster caused by climate change in a future dystopian Earth. But it’s not just the story, it has a cast of big stars from the world of cinema and TV series such as Meryl Streep, Kit Harington, Forest Whitaker, Edward Norton, Tobey Maguire, Gemma Chan, Sienna Miller and David Schwimmer.
No wonder that. Netflix, the most popular platform of its kind, continues to gain followers with such programs despite its ups and downs. Some of the most famous post-apocalyptic series the platform has released include: * Snowpiercer.* Into the night.* The irregulars.* Tribes of Europe.* The Rain.* La Niebla.* La Valla.* Reality Z.* Diablero. *Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.* Lucifer.* Ragnarok.* Daybreak.* Black Summer.* Z Nation. And we can’t deny how addictive they are!
