TikTok it improves child protection policies. Starting in the coming weeks, content creators will be able to indicate when the content of their live streams is inadvisable for audiences of minors.

Users under the age of 18 cannot access the affected live shows. The label ‘For adults‘ is used for all live streams that are not suitable for a young audience due to language or topics.

Of course, this is not a violation of what is or is not allowed on TikTok. The previous policy remains in effect. Content creators simply have an extra tool to ensure that their content is seen by a sufficiently mature audience.

From November 23, TikTok will change the minimum age for hosts i.e. creators of live streaming. The minimum age is from 16 to 18 years. This new rule also aims to protect the youngest from possible abuse and to prevent the recurrence of unpleasant episodes of harassment of very young girls and boys.

TikTok will soon introduce multi-guest direct: it will be possible to invite up to four users live.
