Spotify is working on a new subscription, more expensive and with an even richer perk package. For starters, it finally offers thepremium HiFi audio. The new subscription will be called Spotify Platinum, although we don’t know when it will be available yet, an image describing the content is currently circulating.

The image was shared by a Reddit user, who claims to be taking part in a short survey after unsubscribing from Spotify Premium. The classic round of questions: “Why did you unsubscribe?”, “What doesn’t satisfy you?”, “Would you consider re-subscribing at a different price?” and so on.

Nothing special, except that the survey also first mentioned a new subscription – unreleased and never officially announced – called Spotify Platinum.

Spotify Platinum costs $19.99 per month and includes HiFi sound quality along with some other benefits. These include Studio Sound, a way to adjust audio quality for headphones, Audio Insight, Library Pro, Playlist Pro and a reduction of Spotify podcast ads.

Spotify does not go into the details of the audio quality, as the service description does not mention depth and sample rate.

That’s all we know for now. Keep in mind that this information – although it comes straight from Spotify – should be taken with a grain of salt. Spotify hasn’t officially announced the Platinum plan yet and as far as we know, some things may still change. For example, the final price may differ slightly.
