As of this morning, Elon Musk is the new owner of Twitter. The direct effects are already visible: the billionaire has already torpedoed the four main executives of the social network, including the now former CEO Parag Agrawal. But that’s just the beginning.

Elon Musk has confirmed that he will temporarily occupy the role of CEO of Twitter. In any case, until the completion of the agreement and the identification of a successor who can take care of the social network full-time.

Musk actually doesn’t plan to stay Twitter CEO indefinitely. The billionaire wants to entrust the job to a new CEO: it is not clear whether he will be selected by the current Twitter staff or hired from outside, perhaps by one of Musk’s other companies.

Elon Musk also expressed the intention to remove bans for life. The social network will limit itself to suspending users for a certain period, regardless of the seriousness of their violation. This means that sooner or later Donald Trump and Kanye West – two of the most famous “unsubscribers” – will make a comeback on Twitter. It also applies to more controversial figures, such as the right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos or Martin Shkreli, who has also been out for a few weeks.
