It’s been a few years since the Modern Warfare reboot was released. The game launched in 2019 with an outstanding technical and gameplay offering, as well as a new golden goose under its arm: Warzone. Along the way, and so far, two more Call of Duty games that are certainly far from what MW2019 is all about. signified the revival of the franchise. Modern Warfare 2 repeats the pattern.

Yes, because at the moment and until October 28, his campaign is the only thing that we were able to play. And this did not disappoint us.
Modern Warfare 2 continues the adventures of the team that completed the epilogue of the previous game. But not his story. Note that the launch Warzone unveiled its own narrativeand that thus the game itself closed the story Al Qatala. Now the new part offers us a new story, the only thing that it has in common with the previous one is its main characters. And not all.
It brings back the entire Task Force 141 including Ghost and Soap and adds new characters such as Valeria and Alejandro Vargas, briefly reinstates Faro and gives a new role to Lowsell who, in his Spanish version of Spain, leaves behind the terrible dub from the previous game and broke all immersion in the game every time it appeared. And the general dubbing is also not outstanding, and in general we recommend playing the original version (if the name of your region allows it).
Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2
The Modern Warfare 2 campaign is a breath of fresh air for the franchise. While it’s a step behind the previous game, it offers some missions that are very different from what we’re used to in Call of Duty, all with outstanding graphics and sound, with a staging that’s far from the competition.
In focus this time, things are very different. So much so that it divides the community, you either love it or hate it. More tactical, more leisurely and less popcorn box. Something more mature. That’s the definition of a Modern Warfare 2 campaign. And it fits him very well. Maybe he doesn’t have as many moments as clean house or everything is disguisedbut if he brings up new things that are a breath of fresh air. Mission One, in which we are unarmed and we have to craft make weapons and equipmentThis is without a doubt one of the best things in the game. Also a camera mini-game in jail breakabout which we do not want to reveal anything to us, so as not to spoil its mechanics.
Keep in mind that there are also honor missions, such as the aforementioned All Camouflaged, and that it is definitely located in Spain. In addition, part of the game also takes place in fictional Mexican city Las Almas, with a good cast of natural actors from there and an outstanding performance.
In total, over the course of 17 missions, the game presents different variations of its gameplay which make it especially dynamic. The changes are not only in the structure and development of missions, but also in complexity. Modern Warfare 2 goes up a notch and on any difficulty it’s a bit more demanding than other games and let’s not talk about Realism or Veteran anymore. that those who dare will face the greatest test. And yes, we have not forgotten the classic mission in which you are the operator of the AC-130 artillery.
New mechanics, a breath of fresh air in Call of Duty
The reason is that Modern Warfare 2 introduces some armor-like enemies into the campaign war zone. And they are tough, pretty tough. In some missions, they are able to kill you with one touch. This is problem, because sometimes it’s artificial, as if enemies could see you through a wall or hit you in the head with a shotgun from hundreds of meters away. It’s the only one, but it can be removed in the campaign, perhaps a little far from what the classic Call of Duty player is used to.
An honorable mention goes to the graphics and sound apparatus. The art part is impressive throughout the game. I’m sure many have seen the Amsterdam mission and the hyper-realistic graphics. We’re sorry to disappoint you but not the whole game looks like this, although overall it is outstanding.
Outstanding graphics section
The lighting and texture quality are excellent, and there are a few points where the game drops the level. Yes it’s true what remains it’s a bit strange to play at 120fps and watch videos at 30, but in general this is the only bad thing that can be said about Modern Warfare II. The sound is the same as in the previous game, great. Inifity Ward’s affection is noticeable in this section, from the weapon sound to the environment, and listening to it through 3D Audio or Dolby 5.1 leaves you speechless at times.
All in all, and wait to play multiplayer long and hard, and while the DMZ and Warzone are coming, we really enjoyed the campaign. Maybe not at the level of the first game, but still one of the best Call of Duty games of the last decade. Absolutely impossible to miss.
The campaign can be completed in about 6-7 hours on basic difficulty, so if you don’t plan on playing multiplayer, you might have to wait given the price of the game. But if you’re just campaigning and going to buy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will never disappoint you. [9]
