Although AMD has not yet announced Zen 4-based processors, rumors are already circulating about the next generation. Tom from Moore’s Law Is Dead shared more information about Venice, the Epyc server chipset that will be powered by AMD’s Zen 6 architecture.

It is unknown if AMD will use 3D stacking as it does with existing Milan-X chips.

For example, the leak suggests that this generation of Epyc CPUs will have at least 200 cores on board, and it doesn’t seem impossible for AMD to opt for at least 384 compute cores. This computing power is likely to be accompanied by HBM memory, as is certain variants of Intel’s upcoming Sapphire Rapids chips. There is also talk of a revamped L2 and L3 cache, Infinity Fabric will also be taken care of.

Venice will have to wait a bit, as the release date of AMD’s Epyc CPUs with Zen 4 is not yet known. MLID expects the first Zen 6 server processors to hit the market in the 2024-2025 period, following the Zen 5-based successors of Genoa and Bergamo (Zen 4). Therefore, these features are far from final, and it is not certain that AMD will use the Zen name until then.

Starting at 3:10, Tom discusses Zen 6 based Epyc chips.
