According to new rumors, it should not be long before the launch of the first OnePlus brand tablet. The Chinese manufacturer is preparing for a new market, after presenting its first wearables between 2021 and 2022.

Information is still scarce and fragmented. That reports the well-known insider Max JamborOnePlus could present its first tablet in the course of 2023. The company is already working on the product, but it is not clear whether the launch will take place in the first or second half of the year.

An important phase of transformation is underway within OnePlus, which started after the marriage with Oppo. Nowadays there is also a lot of talk about the future of the Nord brand, which could move towards the lower end of the market and perhaps become a real spin-off – similar to what happened with Realme.

As for the first tablet of OnePlus, we still don’t have much information about what the technical data sheet could be. Currently, the high-end of the market – Android side – remains quite thin, and it is likely that the future OnePlus device will fit into the mid-range segment. However, it’s possible that the first OnePlus-branded tablet is nothing more than a rebrand of the Oppo Pad Air that recently hit the market.

In the past, the first OnePlus tablet was rumored to feature a Snapdragon 865 chipset accompanied by 6GB of RAM and a generous 12.4-inch OLED display. But that goes back to the past and today such a datasheet would not make sense. Where OnePlus is really working on a high-end tablet that will be released in 2023, there is a good chance that the SoC will be replaced by a more modern Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
