Asus enters the SSD market. The company introduced the Rog Strix SQ7 NVME SSD on its Taiwan Facebook page.

According to the tag, the standard is an m.2 pcie 4.0 nvme-ssd with a length of 2280 and a storage capacity of 1TB. Asus is releasing an SSD for the first time. There are currently SSD enclosures in their range, with or without a Phison SSD. It is unknown whether this new SSD is also a collaboration with Phison.

The company is following the lead of competitors Gigabyte and MSI, which have also introduced their own SSDs (both with Phison controllers) in recent years. SSDs from these companies were generally well received.

Pricing and release date have yet to be announced. Asus is holding its ‘Limitless’ event on May 17, so we’ll likely hear more.
