Bloomberg reports that the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has initiated an antitrust investigation into Microsoft.

The commission is interested in the possibility of using Microsoft’s office suite and security software to tie users to cloud offerings. The company remains a top government contractor and receives billions in contracts from the agency, concerns the FTC calls “Microsoft’s cybersecurity failures.”

The Federal Trade Commission has been keeping a close eye on Microsoft for more than a year.
