4. Sodium: true isotonic

Excess salt is harmful to health, but it is essential for the body to carry out some basic chemical reactions necessary to maintain normal states. This is because salt is rich in sodium, an essential electrolyte for humans. Along with potassium, large amounts of sodium are excreted in the urine.

Did you wake up with a hangover? It’s time to eat something salty. But there are other ways to make the organism recover the chemical element. Isotonic intake is a great alternative, but coconut water can be even better.

5. Water: Reclaiming what was lost

Do you know the relationship between dehydration and hangover headaches? Because alcohol causes people to urinate more than normal, too much water is lost. Therefore, the body tries to rehydrate itself by stealing water from the brain, which is slightly smaller than normal. The membranes connecting the brain to the skull are stretched and pain occurs.
