The EI491CUR has surfaced on Acer’s Australian website, a 49-inch monitor that combines 5,120 x 1,440 pixels (32:9) resolution with 1800R curvature. With GTG response times of 4ms, the VA panel isn’t one of the fastest, although the refresh rate is 120Hz.

To take full advantage of this refresh rate, one of the two displayport 1.4 connectors must be used as the hdmi 2.0 ports only support 5,120 x 1,440 at 60 Hz. AMD FreeSync Premium should prevent tearing, while the display should offer 8-bit color and 94% dci-p3 coverage. Also, the product page reports average brightness of 350 nits and peaks of 400 nits, resulting in HDR400 certification.

In terms of ergonomics, the included base supports tilting (-5/+15°), swivel (+/-15°), and height adjustment (95mm). Other features include a headphone jack, two 3W speakers and 75 x 75mm vesa mounting points.

At the time of this writing, Acer Australia has a price tag of AUD 1,499 or around 1,000 Euros for the EI491CUR. It is not known when it will come to the European market.
