Yamaha brings the luxury technologies of its 5000 and 3000 series hi-fi equipment to a cheaper segment with its new 2000 series speakers and network receiver. The Japanese brand announced the NS2000A floor speaker and the R-N2000A network receiver during the High End Munich event. No specific price has been announced yet. Both products will be available in the fall of this year.
The brand explains that the R-N2000A is an amplifier with many of the features of a high-end Yamaha receiver. The network receiver was also created with the Mechanical Grounding principle in mind. Undesirable vibrations should be avoided by screwing or soldering all kinds of moving and current-related components together. In addition, the new R-N2000A supports the Yamaha Parametric Room Acoustic Optimizer, an automatic calibration system, and the MusicCast network for various streaming options.
In his own words, ‘tonal balance, dynamics, sound profile improved’ to provide Yamaha’s True Sound. This also applies to the new floor standing NS2000A speakers. By all means of practical tricks, the sound quality of new speakers should be as consistent as possible. Yamaha, for example, uses specially designed Compatible Diaphragm drivers to prevent resonance, and a special speaker cabinet layout with sound-absorbing tubes and wood.
