Marantz has released a new CD player: the CD 60. The player features Marantz’s own high-quality HDAM amplifier modules, now even more optimized. Good sound quality is guaranteed, but you have to pay some for it; Exactly 899 euros.

With HDAM (High Dynamic Amplifier Modules), the CD 60 should sound better than competitive CD players. The modules have been refreshed, which means there should be significantly less distortion at high frequencies. Improved voltage regulation also provides less noise.

In addition to CDs, the CD 60 can also play music from a USB stick. MP3, wma, aac, wav, flac, alac and aiff (up to 192 kHz, 24 bit) as well as DSD (up to 5.6 MHz) are supported. The CD player pairs well with a number of other Marantz products, such as the recently released Model 40n amplifier, due to its cohesive design.

The Marantz CD 60 CD player will be available at Marantz dealers and Marantz’s own webshop for 899 euros from June.
