In the early stages, large contractors such as Lockheed Martin and UAE Systems also participated in the program, but their participation in the second stage has not yet been confirmed. The aim of the project is to create systems that can independently control an air war under difficult and rapidly changing conditions. In addition, new technologies should work on the basis of existing sensors and weapons. In the future, this should lead to the emergence of completely autonomous warplanes (UCAV), who can work without a pilot.
The Air Program is a continuation of AI’s F-16 fighter, which has already controlled the F-16 fighter, a continuation of the Air War Evolution (ACE) project.
