Juan David’s brother, Ricardo Aldana, revealed to the journalism format directed by Diva Jessurum that he also visited the actress and model at his apartment the morning of the momentous event. They chatted a bit and after a while the former ‘Guerreros’ competitor set off on his motorcycle. “That was the last time I saw him,” she said.

Around 4 pm the young man arrived at the ‘Channel 1’ premises, as usual, to record a new broadcast of the game show. In front of the cameras, he had the opportunity to reconcile with his girlfriend at that time, Melany Flórez, whom he had been separated from for days.
When the recordings were over, Juan David drove home on his motorcycle. Melany said that the athlete did not go with her to the program in question, just because she was wearing a protective helmet. “They were the last to leave because they kept talking for a while,” said Miguel Álvarez, a former ‘Guerreros’ teammate.

While officials’ hypotheses point to the athlete perhaps speeding, his colleagues, family members and relatives point out that it was raining that very day. “It rained that day and you obviously couldn’t see the holes. How fast was it going? I don’t know,” Esteban Bernal, one of the reality show contestants, told the ‘Final File’.
Accident eyewitness Andrea Pajoy described the troubled moments she experienced as follows: “I took his pulse. I saw that there was a lot of blood. I kept talking to him to wake him up. I tried to move his hands to see if he would react, but it didn’t.”
