One in ten Russians plans to sell their car in 2023, and 73% will do so to buy a new car, a survey by the Rabota.ru and SberAvto services showed.

Every tenth Russian plans to sell a car in 2023

More than 5,000 Rabota.ru users over the age of 18 from all regions of Russia took part in the survey.

It turned out that in 2023, 12% plan to sell a car, 48% do not make such plans, 40% do not have personal vehicles.

Why the Russians are going to sell cars (multiple choice):

  • 73% plan to buy a new car;
  • 18% will sell a car to invest in a larger purchase;
  • 15% reported that car maintenance is expensive;
  • 3% say they have an opportunity to sell the vehicle profitably.
