The well-known social network X, or ‘Twitter’ as many know it before, has released a new update to its privacy policy. It will allow the app to collect biometric information and details about users’ employment or educational background.

According to the new policy, the social network will have the opportunity to obtain biometric data from people, as well as information about their activities on the platform and other online resources. These three categories of data are detailed in the newly updated privacy policy, as reported by ‘Bloomberg’.

Biometric data will be collected with the user’s permission and used mainly for security and identification purposes. Additionally, information on people’s professional and educational lives will be collected through a new function that will allow verified organizations to publish job offers directly on the platform.
