Social networks are used by hundreds of people around the world. One of the most popular of these is Instagram, where users share images of their daily lives and show the things they love most through photos. But it has also been used to send messages and communicate for several years, so the application decided to develop a new function.
This will sit directly in the message tray and allow users to delete messages, but without unsending them. Similar to WhatsApp’s ‘Delete for me’ feature.

To date Instagram allows You can opt users out of sending messages known as ‘Unsent Messages’. However, this action deleted the information of all chat participants after the notification provided by the platform while this action was carried out.
The novelty is that the social network is working on the implementation of a button that will simply delete the message from the chat, without getting lost in the other person’s message.
This function allows you to delete sent and received messages from your mobile phone without affecting the recipient’s chats that are still on their device. It was developed by reverse engineering expert Alessandro Paluzzi.
It is worth noting that so far Instagram does not offer the option to delete trayed messages. Tapping them offers only three possible actions: ‘Reply’, ‘Copy’ and ‘Report’.

Thanks to this new feature being developed, Instagram aims to provide more flexibility to its users and gives them control over their conversations, allowing them to delete unwanted or inaccurate messages without impacting their recipients’ experience.
