This was reported by the interim governor of the State of Tabasco, Carlos Manuel Merino Campos, via account ‘X’:
“After a thorough investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office in question, the locations of the allegedly missing Colombian women mentioned by the consul were determined. Women who are in good health are under the protection of the Prosecutor’s Office to determine their status. “We will continue to inform you through official accounts and channels.”.
Likewise, the Tabasco Prosecutor’s Office assured that they would expand information about his situation within a few minutes.

The plenipotentiary ambassador in Mexico added the following to this news:
Congratulating the discovery of the missing Colombian women in Villahermosa, Moisés Ninco Daza also stated that they will provide assistance for the women to return to Colombia through the consulate.
“Our Consul General in Cancun, María Soledad Garzón, confirmed that the Tabasco Government has located the missing Colombian women victims of human trafficking in Villahermosa and that these women will undergo medical checks to review their health status. Everything necessary for them to return home will be coordinated through the same consulate.“.
“Thanks to his support and our embassies and consulates in this country, many human trafficking criminals have been caught.”
So far it is unknown when these eight Colombian women will return to the country.
