Soon you will be able to use your WhatsApp account on multiple smartphones. By registering your smartphone as an Assistive Device, you will soon be able to practice on another smartphone or tablet.
WhatsApp developers have not stood still, especially in recent weeks. It turns out that the app developers are working on a new camera interface and we can expect emoji reactions and communities. New features discovered by Wabetainfo.com.
Connect New Mobile Device
The name of the new feature that WhatsApp developers have now revealed is ‘New Mobile Device Connection’. The name actually says it all. With this, you link your existing WhatsApp account to an extra smartphone or a tablet. You can then send messages with your other smartphone through the app. It is somewhat similar to WhatsApp Desktop or WhatsApp in the browser.
Binding is done in a similar way. With your second smartphone, you scan a QR code displayed on your main device’s screen. WhatsApp data is then synced so you can use WhatsApp on your tablet or second smartphone (for example, your work device).
This feature works on both iOS and Android devices and is already available for some beta users to try. At the time of writing, it is not yet clear when the option of apps across multiple smartphones and tablets will become available to everyone.
