Apple’s Weather App Is So Good That Even AI-Based Apps Are Copying It
Figma AI creates apps with AI, the problem is that they are a clone of Apple’s iPhone apps
Artificial intelligence is one of them better and more innovative technologies Technologies that have been used in many functions of our daily lives in recent years. All you have to do is see how Apple invests everything in Apple Intelligence. However, there are many options in the market to use AI; one of them is Figma AI, which helps design applications with AI.
- Best apps for iPhone
- Best apps for iPad
- Apps for taking notes on iPad
- How to block apps on iPhone?
- App to edit videos on iPhone
- App to watch TV on iPhone
- Best apps to watch football
This looks promising, but some very significant problems have emerged. A developer asked Figma AI to create a weather app, and the result was always the same: An app that looks like a clone of the iPhone’s Weather appCould the iPhone’s Weather app design be second to none?
This developer pointed out that this could be very dangerous and could lead to legal problems, and that Apple could take action if an app that appeared to be a clone of itself was published. After the accident, Figma has immediately disabled the Build Design feature Until a full investigation is completed.
Figma AI appears to have been trained quite heavily on existing applications.
This is a “weather app” using the new Create Your Own Design feature, and the results are basically Apple’s Weather app (left). I tried it three times, same results. https://t.co/Ij20OpPCer pic.twitter.com/psFTV6daVD

Figma AI officially responds
Figma CEO Dylan Field responded by stating: AI is not trained with current application designbut there is something wrong with their “core design system”. Something that is causing the option to create an app to be disabled.
Shortly after, the company explained what happened and how they were working to fix the issue:
We’d been looking carefully at the core design systems throughout development and during the private beta. However, in the week leading up to Config, new components and sample screens were added that we hadn’t looked at closely enough. Some of these assets looked like real-world applications and showed up with specific indicators in the function’s output. We first became aware of the issue when designer Andy Allen, speaking at Config, pointed out that asking Make Designs for a weather app resulted in designs that looked very similar to Apple’s first-party app.
However, Figma blames the error on some last-minute additions to their design system. It is quite curious that the applications created are so similar to Apple’s applications.. Moreover, if this is the explanation, it should be very simple to solve the problem by deleting these files, but for now the function is still disabled.
Apple apps have always stood out with their good designsso it’s not surprising that they’re an example to others. But when we’re talking about training AI models, copyright can be a big deal, and I don’t think Apple would appreciate having their designs copied. Apple Intelligence will not use your data for training purposes.
