Apple was about to cancel or delay the launch of the fourth generation iPhone SE, which is expected to come out in 2024.
The statement was made by renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who made statements quoted by various media and private portals.

According to Kuo, Apple’s latest proposed segmentation has resulted in better demand for Pro models than standard models, and the iPhone 14 Plus doesn’t seem to have sparked interest, at least so far.
The analyst, one of the most respected, assured: “The sales of the 14 and 14 Plus are not doing well, and the gap in quality between the standard models is becoming more and more evident. and Pro aims to be one of the main reasons”.
Kuo even claimed that he conducted a poll on the subject on his Twitter account: “My recent survey shows that Apple will likely cancel or delay its mass production plan for the iPhone SE 4 until 2024.. I believe this is due to the consistently lower-than-expected shipments of low- and mid-range iPhones (eg SE 3, 13 mini and 14 Plus).
The information Kou gave has not been denied by the manzanita brand so far.

But this isn’t the first time the Tim Cook-led company has canceled the launch of one of its phones. It should also be noted that Apple canceled the production of the iPhone 13 mini and reduced the production of the SE model by 20% in the first quarter of 2022.
Analysts like Kuo had expected the fourth-generation iPhone SE to have a design change as this family is reflected in the design of the iPhone 8.
However, according to Kou, radically changing the design of the SE would result in a significant increase in costs and the payback would be highly uncertain. For Apple, the direct result of having to offer the next generation at a higher price, along with the final investment in the product. And the rise in price is the last thing the iPhone SE needs if it’s to continue to hold some appeal.
This analyst also argues that stopping the development of new products could provide Apple with oxygen to face a possible global recession in 2023.
Kou concludes that next year for Apple: This would be the year of the iPhone 15 Pro, which aims to be one of the biggest technological leaps in mobile phone history.Surrender to the USB-C port and with a new camera sensor that will be revolutionary.
According to the Japanese Nikkei newspaper, the iPhone 15 Pro will be the first CMOS image sensor stacked with dual-layer pixel transistors (2-Layer Transistor Pixel). In traditional CMOS sensors, the photodiodes and transistors are on the same substrate, in this new sensor they are on different substrate layers.

Sony, for its part, commented that this technology allows to widen the dynamic range and reduce the noise of the photos. This will prevent underexposure and overexposure in environments with a mix of bright and dim lighting. Thus, better images can be captured in backlit situations and low-light environments. And also inside.
