“At Kwai, we are aware of our responsibility to the millions of active users on our platform, so we signed an alliance with the National Electoral Council to fight disinformation and recently established a set of rules for transporting content. and information confirmed to Colombians during the elections”, assured Gustavo Vargas, Director of Communications and Public Affairs for Kwai Latin America.
Kwai invited its users to be properly informed about the political situation through verified profiles. Currently, there are two verified official corporate accounts on the platform that voters can apply to: National Register, @Registraduria and National Electoral Council, @cne_colombia.

One of the first ways to combat disinformation on the platform is to remove all misinformation about how, when and where to vote, as well as any false content regarding rules and procedures regarding the voting process.
