Didi, which has been in the country for four years, is launching a new usage model for people, shipments and addresses.

in an interview with Brief caseRichard Farr, DiDi’s Director of Strategic Projects in Latin America, spoke about the launch of Didi Flex and its interest in regulating platforms in the country.

Currently, DiDi for passenger transport is available in Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla and Bucaramanga.

We focused on understanding the needs of users, the challenges and realities of the market in order to provide technological solutions that fit their needs.

in these four years Alongside Express, we launched six products: Econo, Taxi, Delivery, Fleet and DiDi Food.

Also, DiDi Flex was recently activated in Bucaramanga; this is a new option that complements our product portfolio and allows tenant users the flexibility to bid and negotiate the best rental price they see fit.

Since our launch, We reached 13 million downloads of the app among landlord and tenant users.

During 2022, we grew the user base by 30 percent in Colombia and 25 percent in Bogota specifically.

Our philosophy of collaboration is based on the constant quest to connect with new solutions for people’s mobility through technology. Under this premise, we got very good reception from Colombians.

We are always open to cooperation with different studies that enable us to produce better solutions in cities where the application is active.

For this reason We are working with Alianza In to support progress towards a specific regulatory framework—implementation guide. this allows hundreds of people to continue using apps as an option to make a profit.

We hope to be able to continue to collaborate from the union, the national government, Congress and all officials to move forward in the regulatory process.

Until 2023, we aim to continue to offer technological options that make people’s daily lives easier and earn additional income in a flexible way by putting them in the pockets of users, making a positive impact on the mobility and distribution solutions sectors in the country.

After spending nearly four years in Colombia, the app has evolved to offer Colombians more and better alternatives to make day-to-day easier, “for this we have six, in addition to Express, Econo, Taxi, Delivery, Fleet and DiDi Food. “Through these years, we have added products. Director of Strategic Projects for Latin America.”

However, while looking for ways to increase their portfolio with the inclusion of DiDi Flex product in Bucaramanga, they aim to ensure that the service fee can be negotiated between the driver/lesser and the user/lesser of the vehicle. “We hope more Colombians can use it in the future,” concludes Farr.
